Christmas Time in Edinburgh

This past Sunday, me and my mum woke up at an ungodly hour to get the bus to Edinburgh. The day trip was put on by Premier Coaches, a local bus company, and it had us singing jingle bells from the festivities, and a cheeky prosecco or two, all the way home…

We arrived in Edinburgh around 12 and had our first quick scope of the market followed by lunch at the Hard Rock Cafe, starting the daytime drinking with a mystery mojito (Spoiler: the mystery is Gin and it was sooooo good) and some great food to keep us fuelled up for a day of shopping.

We had a stroll around the stalls. Some creepy…

And some a little magical…

But to be honest we spent the majority of the day strolling around the shops on Princes Street. I picked up a gorgeous gold skirt to wear for the Moxy Hotel Lauch this Thursday (yes they have invited me back after this little gem of a night), no pictures of this yet – it’s a shiny surprise.

We had a wander through Jenners, which is actually a House of Fraser, so it has all your brands. I had a lovely lady in Bare Minerals sort out my eyebrows (i.e. At least get them in the same ball park as my hair).

My gorgeous Mum and I outside the Dome (pre-eye brow fixing).

The day got darker a lot faster than we expected and before we knew it we had an hour to get back to our bus for the drive home.

Naturally we had a cheeky prosecco at the Barmoral bar. For those who aren’t familiar, this place is fancy…like £75 cocktails fancy.

We got our final purchases (i.e. The ones we didn’t want to lug around with us.)

And headed to our sleigh for the drive home.

All in all a magical day. Merry Christmas Edinburgh, it’s been a pleasure.
